Overview: Sundance Poster Series

Sundance is one of the oldest and most sacred ceremonies to the people of the Lakota Nation. The annual poster is created to support the Sundance ceremony held in Lakota territory, South Dakota on the Rosebud reservation. This ceremony is a very important aspect of Pete Beebe's life (Forge Co-founder), as is his relationship with his friends and relatives who live on the Rosebud reservation. Pete creates these posters at no cost, to honor the sacrifice of the participants of the ceremony each year. 21 posters over the course of 21 years have been created to date.

All of the artwork was created by Pete Beebe except for the 2007 poster which was created by Chief Leonard Alden Crowdog.
